God our Father does have his hand on our lives especially when we start our journey of obedience. But like a dad teaching his children to ride their bikes, there comes a day when God has to let go and release us, trusting that we’ll follow Him with all of our heart in obedience. Jeremiah 31:32-33 speaks of this. The fruit of our obedience is then that we are able to take ownership of our own mistakes, move further and with more freedom, and discover that when we do fall we can get back up again, not giving up on what God has promised us.
