Noah’s name means “Rest.” In Noah’s days, the world was in turmoil, and the people were wicked. But God told Noah to build an ark and then invited Noah to find rest in the ark he had made. Today God is inviting us to come and find rest in the good works He predestined for us, that we should walk in them and live the good life He prearranged for us. Together, like an ark, we are built up to form a place where we can experience the Presence of God and live and work in the freedom He always planned for us to have.
